1998-049-RES WHEREAS, CITY COUNCIL IS SUPPORTIVE OF TITLE VIII
RESOLUTION NO. 98-049
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is supportive of Title VIII of the Civil
Rights Act of 1968, as amended, which prohibits discrimination in housing; and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris has executed a Proclamation proclaiming the
month of April as "Pair Housing Month" in the City of Paris in the form shown in Exhibit A,
attached hereto; and,
WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Paris that the City
Council of the City of Paris show support of the Pair Housing law by approving said
proclamation; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the
Proclamation proclaiming April as "Pair Housing Month" in the City of Paris, in the form shown
in Exhibit A, attached hereto, be, and the same is hereby, approved.
