1998-031-RES WHEREAS, CITY COUNCIL DEEMS IT ADVISABLE TO ESTABLISH A MAIN
RESOLUTION NO. 98-031
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris deems it advisable to establish a Main
Street Project Advisory Board to act in an advisory capacity to the City Council in relation to the
Main Street Project, assuming philosophical responsibility for all activities of the Main Street
Project; and,
WHEREAS, the Main Street Project Advisory Board will be responsible for establishing
program policy, determining the goals and objectives of the program, and providing guidance and
advice, with said Board to consist of ten (10) members for terms of three (3) years each; and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris, Eric S. Clifford, does hereby recommend the
appointments of David House, Pat Taylor, Bill Payne, Dwight Chaney, Linda Suarez, Karen
Wilkerson, Suzy Harper, Scott McDowell, Dr. William Hayden, and Ann Wyche for terms of
three (3) years, beginning April 1, 1998, and ending March 31,2001; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the
Main Street Project Advisory Board, which will act in an advisory capacity to the City Council
in relation to the Main Street Project, be, and the same is hereby, established; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that David House, Pat Taylor, Bill Payne, Dwight
Chaney, Linda Suarez, Karen Wilkerson, Suzy Harper, Scott McDowell, Dr. William Hayden,
and Ann Wyche be, and they are hereby, appointed to serve as members of the Main Street Project
Advisory Board for terms of three (3) years, beginning April 1, 1998 and ending March 31,2001.
