1998-030-RES WHEREAS, CITY COUNCIL DID HERETOFORE ON THE 8TH DAY RESOLUTION NO. 98-030 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 8th day of January, 1979, in Resolution No. 1915, authorize the execution of a Lease Agreement with James M. Wrenn, Jr. for hangar space at Cox Field Airport; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 12th day of February, 1990, in Resolution No. 90-010, authorize the execution of a Lease Agreement with James M. Wrenn, Jr., renewing the prior lease for a period of five (5) years, beginning March 1, 1990, and ending February 28, 1995, which renewal lease is dated October 1, 1990; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 10th day of June, 1991, in Resolution No. 91-050, authorize the execution of Addendum Number One to Lease Agreement dated October 1, 1990; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 13th day of February, 1995, in Resolution 95-028, grant the Exercise of Option by James M. Wrenn, Jr. for a period of five (5) years, beginning March 1, 1995, and ending February 28, 2000, and authorize the execution of Addendum Number Two to Lease Agreement dated October 1, 1990; and, WHEREAS, in order to provide for the temporary relocation of the Fixed Base Operator and the Airport Manager during the raising and reconstruction of the terminal at Cox Field Airport, it is deemed appropriate that the terms of the extended lease agreement be revised; and, WHEREAS, the form of Addendum Number Three to Lease Agreement dated October 1, 1990, between the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, and James M. Wrenn, Jr., attached hereto as Exhibit A, should, in all things, be approved, and the City Manager, Michael E. Malone, should be authorized to execute the same; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the form of Addendum Number Three to Lease Agreement dated October 1, 1990, between the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, and James M. Wrenn, Jr., attached hereto as Exhibit A, be, and the same is hereby, approved; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Manager, Michael E. Malone, be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, Addendum Number Three to said Lease Agreement, under the terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto. ST A TE OF TEXAS ) ) COUNTY OF LAMAR ) KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: That this Addendum Number Three to Lease Agreement dated October 1, 1990, between the City of Paris, Paris, Texas and James M. Wrenn, Jr., is made this 9th day of March, 1998, by and between the CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, acting by and through its City Manager, Michael E. Malone, duly authorized, hereinafter called LESSOR, and James M. Wrenn, Jr., hereinafter called LESSEE. WITNESSETH It is hereby mutually agreed by and between LESSOR and LESSEE that the second un- numbered paragraph be amended to read as follows: "For and in consideration of the payment of monthly rental, due on or before the 1st day of each month, to the LESSOR, and each month thereafter, as follows: $375.00 per month, plus utilities, except for the period beginning January 1, 1998, through March 31, 1999, for which payment of rental and utilities are expressly waived, said LESSOR does hereby lease, rent and let unto LESSEE that portion of Cox Field property known as the main hangar and described on Exhibit A attached hereto and made a part hereof for all legal purposes except for the three office areas and adjacent restroom, all of which are located in the southeast area of the main hangar which is reserved to the use of the airport manager and the fixed base operator for the period January 1, 1998 through March 31, 1999, during the raising and the reconstruction of the airport termi nal which use by the airport manager and fixed base operator shall accommodate Mr. ATTEST: Mattie Cunningham, City Clerk APPROVED AS TO FORM: T.
