1998-026-RES WHEREAS, VACANCY EXISTS ON MEMBERSHIP ON CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION NO. 98-026
WHEREAS, there exists a vacancy on the membership of the City Council of the City of
Paris due to the resignation of Thetis Elder, and it is necessary that her successor be timely
appointed due to the urgency of City business requiring Council action; and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris, Eric S. Clifford, does hereby recommend the
appointment of Kevin Gray, a person possessing all of the qualifications enumerated in Section 17
of the Charter of the City of Paris and who is a bona fide resident of District 2 and of the City of
Paris, to serve the unexpired term of Thetis Elder, which ends May 7, 1998; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that Kevin
Gray be, and he is hereby, appointed to serve the unexpired term of Thetis Elder, which ends May
7, 1998, as a member of the City Council of the City of Paris for District 2.
