1990-025-RES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of at its regular meeting on September 18, 1989, in No. 89-034 RESOLUTION NO. 90-025 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did at its regular meet ing on September 18, 1989, in Ord inance No. 89-034 authorize the advertisement for bids for furnishing labor, materials and equipment and performing all work required for the installation of the UHF Radio System for Public Works Radios, which bids were received until 3:00 o'clock P.M., Tuesday, March, 6, 1990; and, WHEREAS, the best bid for such UHF Radio System and installation was made by Airwaves Communications, Inc., Paris, Texas and it should be awarded the bid for such UHF equipment and installation; and, WHEREAS, the form of contract for such UHF Radio System and installation is attached hereto as Exhibit A, should be approved; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, That the Bid of Airwaves Communications, Inc., for the UHF Rad io Sys tern and ins talla t ion, in the amount of $55,896.00 is hereby accepted and let conditioned upon said contractor meeting all of the terms and specifications included in the bid documents; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor of the City of Paris, Eric S. It shall consist of a transmitter, receiver, and power supply mounted in a cabinet unit. It shall be capable of operating on sf/ecific frequencies in the 450-470 mhz. band. The repeater station shall incorporate coded squelch system designed to l'linhlize reception of co-channel communications, nuisance noise and skip interfcrance. To avoid inadvertent keying of the transmitter for extended periods of time which would result in channel tie-up, an automatic timer shall be included in the radio. The timer shall turn off the transmitter after a preset interval and shall reset automatically by the push to talk circuitry. A DC remote control station shall be installed.in the Emergency Operations Center at the City Hall and interfaced to existing reIaote controls.
