1990-019-RES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris its regular meeting on September 18, 1989, in 89-034 RESOLUTION NO. ~ WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did at its regular meeting on September 18, 1989, in Ordinance No. 89-034 authorize the advertisement for bids for furnishing labor, materials and equipment and performing all work required for the installation of carpet at the Police and Court Building located at 811 Bonham, Paris, Texas, which bids were received until 3:00 o'clock P.M., Tuesday, February 6, 1990; and, WHEREAS, the best bid for such carpet and installation was made by Seidle Enterprises, Paris, Texas and it should be awarded the bid for such carpet and installation; and, WHEREAS, the form of contract for such carpet and installation project is attached hereto as Exhibit A, should be approved; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, That the Bid of Seidle Enterprises, for the carpet and installation at the Paris Police and Court Building located at 811 Bonham, Paris, Texas, in the amount of $2,238.95 is hereby accepted and let conditioned upon said contractor meeting all of the terms and specifications included in the bid documents; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor of the City of Paris, Eric S. Clifford, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris the contract with Seidle Enterprises for carpet and installation upon the terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A attached hereto. That SEIDLE agrees to begin installation within thirty (30) days from the bid opening date of February 6, 1990. 3. The carpet specified and installed shall be a minimum of 26 oz., Olefin commetcial grade loop carpet throughout the interior of the Patrol Division and one Computer Room. It shall be a medium brown in color, or an approved equal. It shall have an action back. 2. The carpet specified for the weight room shall be an 18 oz. Olefin grade carpet. It shall have an action back. This carpet must be blue in color. 3. Bid price will include all labor to move and replace any furnishings. .4. Bid price will also include any and all glues and labor for installation of carpets and tile. 5. The tile specified shall be a commercial 1/8th - 12 inch X 12 inch tile, white or white/bro~~ color tone. 6. The bid ahould also include cost and installation of four (4) inch rubber base boards on every room ~xcept the weight room. 7. Color samples from the successful bidder shall be available for City staff to review on February 13,1990. 8. The area to be carpeted shall be the newly remodeled portion of the Police Department Building which will be known as the Patrol,Division, and one Computer Room, and one Weight Room..." .', 9.
