1990-013-RES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of heretofore pass and adopt Resolution No. 89-133, on of
RESOLUTION NO. 90-013
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did
heretofore pass and adopt Resolution No. 89-133, on the 13th day
of November, 1989, which Resolution should be amended to
eliminate any reference to a Professional Medical Service
Contract with Agnes B. Xavier, M.D.; and,
WHEREAS, the County of Lamar and the City of Paris have
agreed to fund professional medical services being provided by
Physician's Assistant, Lorrin J. Scott, in accordance with
and in the form of the First Amended Interlocal Agreement for
Professional Medical Services Cost Sharing attached hereto as
Exhibit A, which should in all things be approved; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
That the First Amended lnterlocal Agreement for Professional
Medical Services Cost Sharing in the form of Exhibit A attached
hereto, be, and the same is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor of the City of Paris,
Eric S. Clifford, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to
execute the First Amended Interlocal Agreement for Professional
Medical Services Cost Sharing with the County of Lamar.

INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT FOR
PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL SERVICES
COST SHARING
STATE OF TEXAS ~
COUNTY OF LAMAR ~
This contract made and entered into this the 1st day of
November, 1989, by and between the CITY OF PARIS, Paris, Texas, a
body politic, acting by and through its Mayor, Eric S. Clifford,
duly authorized, hereinafter called CITY; and the COUNTY OF
LAMAR, State of Texas, acting by and through its County Judge,
Deane A. Loughmiller, duly authorized, hereinafter called COUNTY;
hereby contract and agree as follows:
CITY and COUNTY agree to fund professional medical services
to be provided by an employed Physician's Assistant as follows:
COUNTY to pay for 15% of the employment cost of the physician's
assistant and any related liability insurance cost, for up to six
hours per week sick call to be provided at the Lamar County Jail.
The remaining 85% of the employment cost of the Physician's
Assistant and any related liability insurance cost, shall be paid
one half by COUNTY and one half by CITY.
This contract shall remain in full force and effect until
amended or terminated by the CITY, or the COUNTY.
In the event that COUNTY's demand for sick call services for
Physician's Assistant increases beyond the six hours provided
EXHIBIT A
for, then COUNTY's payment shall be increased to reflect a
percent equal to sick call hours desired divided by forty, times
the employment cost of the Physician's Assistant and any related
liability insurance cost.
