1990-004-RES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Resolution No. 88-006, commit the City to the 1st Improvement
RESOLUTION NO. 90-004
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did in
Resolution No. 88-006, commit the City to the 1st N.W. Street
Improvement Project and authorized the City Attorney, T. K.
Haynes, to proceed to procure the right-of-way necessary for the
reconstruction project; and,
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to change the alignment as
previously authorized to meet safety requirements of the Texas
Department of Highways and Public Transportation. Such new
alignment is depicted upon Exhibit A attached hereto; and,
WHEREAS, it is right and proper for the City of Paris to
renew its commitment stated in said Resolution 88-006; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
That the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation
be assured that the City of Paris is firmly committed to the
First Street Northwest reconstruction project under the 1983-1986
Urban Project Number MH715 from Graham Street North to its
intersection with North Main Street approximately 800 feet North
of the North boundary line of Santa Fe Street's intersection with
North Main Street and the funding for the procurement of
right-of-way for the same, and the alignment of the First Street
Northwest reconstruction Project depicted on Exhibit A attached
hereto is in all things approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City Attorney T. K. Haynes,
be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to proceed to
procure the right-of-way necessary for the above described
reconstruction project.
