1990-001-RES WHEREAS, the present and past City Councils of Paris, have been concerned with planning for a site; and,
RESOLUTION NO. 90-001
WHEREAS, the present and past City Councils of the City of
Paris, have been concerned with planning for a future landfill
site; and,
WHEREAS, ther e is a con t inu ing need for cover ma ter ial on
the most recently closed landfill site as ordinary settling
occurs; and,
WHEREAS, the City Attorney of the City of Paris has hereto-
fore been instructed to procure land in the vicinity of or
adjacent to the most recently closed landfill site; and,
WHEREAS, approximately 157 acres in the John Wilson Survey
#981, has recently been offered to the City of Paris and the same
has been procured and it would be appropriate that such procure-
ment be ratified; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
That the offer of 157.768 acres of land to the City of Paris by
Walter Rosson and Wife, Patsy Bell Rosson, dated December 28,
1989, be accepted and the purchase and procurement of the same is
hereby approved and ratified.
