1998-154-RES WHEREAS, IT HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION NO. 98-154 WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the City Council of the City of Paris that there is a need for water service in an area of Paris, and that such need could be best served by a pro rata water main extension beginning at U.S. Highway 82 East and continuing south along 47th Street S.E. to Old Clarksville Road, thence west a distance of approximately 1,500 feet, thence north and northwest to the intersection of an existing 6" water main located on 42nd Street S.E., said extension to serve adjacent properties along the route and the Paradise Estates Subdivision, containing approximately 10,660 linear feet of P. V . C. water main line; and, WHEREAS, the City Engineer, Earl Smith, has prepared preliminary plans, specifications, and estimates of the total cost of the project and has delivered same to the City Manager; and, WHEREAS, it would be right and proper to have a public hearing concerning the same at the regular council meeting on December 10, 1998, at which time the City Council will determine whether or not the City-sponsored pro rata project should be had; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that a public hearing be held by and before the City Council of the City of Paris in regular session convened on the 10th day of December, 1998, at 6:00 o'clock P.M., in the City Council Room, City Hall, Paris, Texas, at which time the matter of a City-sponsored pro rata water main extension beginning at U.S. Highway 82 East and continuing south along 47th Street S.E. to Old Clarksville Road, thence west a distance of approximately 1,500 feet, thence north and northwest to the intersection of an existing 6" water main located on 42nd Street S.B. will be considered.
