1998-150-RES WHEREAS, RURAL DEVELOPMENT DIVISION OF USDA
RESOLUTION NO. 98-150
WHEREAS, the Rural Development Division of the U.S. Department of Agriculture
provides funding for Community Facilities Program Loans; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is desirous of processing a loan
application under the Community Facilities Loan Program in an amount not to exceed $1.5 million
for use in proceeding with Phase II of the Fire Service Plan, being the construction of Fire Station
No.2 and Fire Station No.4; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
1. That an application be made to the Rural Economic and Community Development
Agency for a Community Facilities Program loan in an amount not to exceed $1.5 million for use
in proceeding with Phase II of the Fire Service Plan, being the construction of Fire Station No.
2 and Fire Station No.4.
2. That Michael E. Malone, City Manager of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby
appointed as Ihe Authorized Official of said project and is authorized and directed to act in all
matters in connection with this application and the City's part in the Community Facilities
Program.
