1998-147-RES WHEREAS, PISD HAS REQUESTED JUVENILE JUSTICE RESOURCES RESOLUTION NO. 98-147 WHEREAS, the Paris Independent School District has requested Juvenile Justice Resource Officer services throughout the 1998-1999 school year at PISD campuses, and the City Council is agreeable to providing such service; and, WHEREAS, the form of the Intergovernmental Agreement, attached hereto as Exhibit A, should, in all things, be approved, and the Mayor of the City of Paris, Charles H. Neeley, should be authorized to execute the same; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the form of the Intergovernmental Agreement with the Paris Independent School District, attached hereto as Exhibit A, for Juvenile Justice Resource Officer services throughout the 1998-1999 school year at PISD campuses, be, and the same is hereby, approved; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor, Charles H. Neeley, be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, the Intergovernmental Agreement with the Paris Independent School District, under the terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto. Foster, City Attorney INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT STATE OF TEXAS ) ) ) KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: COUNTY OF LAMAR THAT, the CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, a municipal corporation, acting by and through its Mayor, Charles H. Neeley, duly authorized, hereinafter called CITY, and the PARIS INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT, acting by and through its Assistant Superintendent of Business and Finance, Louie Ben Coker, duly authorized, hereinafter called PISD, do hereby contract and agree as follows: 1. CITY agrees to provide Juvenile Justice Resource Officer Services to all PISD campuses during the 1998-1999 school year. 2. For and in consideration of the services described above, PISD agrees to pay to CITY the sum of Forty-one Thousand Two Hundred Eight and no/lOG Dollars ($41,208.00). Such sum shall be paid out monthly during the months of September 1998, through May 1999. 3. The term of this agreement shall be for the 1998-1999 school year.
