1998-134-RES WHEREAS, CITY COUNCIL DID HERETOFORE ON THE 4TH DAY
RESOLUTION NO. ~
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 4th day of
December, 1997, in Resolution No. 97-141, award the contract for uPlum Street 1900 Block
Surface Water Runoff Pollution and Flood Mitigation Project," TXDOT Project No. CSJ 0901-29-
905, to Hilliard & Sons Contractors, Inc.; and,
WHEREAS, the City Engineer, Earl Smith, acting as project engineer, recommends the
amendment of the contract for said project to remove the fence and gate from the same, providing
for a net decrease of $5,235.00 in the contract price, for a total contract price of $139,040.00;
and,
WHEREAS, the form of Change Order No. One, attached hereto as Exhibit A, should,
in all things, be approved, and the Mayor, Charles H. Neeley, should be authorized to execute
the same; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the
form of Change Order No. One to the Contract for the uPlum Street 1900 Block Surface Water
Runoff Pollution and Flood Mitigation Project," TXDOT Project No. CSJ 0901-29-905, attached
hereto as Exhibit A, for the removal of fence and gate from the project, providing for a net
decrease of $5,235.00 in the contract price, for a total contract price of $139,040.00, be, and the
same is hereby, approved; and,
BE IT }'URTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor, Charles H. Neeley, be, and he is
hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, said Change Order No.
One, upon the terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto.
