MINUTES SPECIAL MEETING CITY OF PARIS BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT CITY HALL WEST ANNEX CONFERENCE ROOM 150 1 ST STREET S.E. PARIS. TEXAS TUESDAY. MARCH 21. 2006 12:00 O'CLOCK NOON 1. The Board of Adjustment Board meeting was called to order by Chairman John Mark Spencer at 4:00 p.m. A. The following members were present: Terry Christian Rodney Bass Howard Corriston B. The following members were absent: Kyle McCarley Alternate: David Glass C. Also present was Lisa Wright, Director of Community Development. 2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. Motion to approve the minutes of the July 25, 2005, meeting was made by Rodney Bass, seconded by Terry Christian Motion carried 4-0. 3. Public Hearing to consider the petition of Caroline Dangerfield granting a variance of Zoning Ordinance No. 1710, Section 9-301 to modify the permitted depth of the lot from 100' to 73' in order to rotate the home to face Grove Street, on Lot 1, Block 3, Kinzie A Pickiard Addition, located at 1020 7 ~ Street N.E. Lisa Wright advised the Board that Ms. Dangerfield had received zoning from the P&Z and City Council; however, because the lot is on a corner, the house would have been sited oddly if it were to face 71/2 Street. Therefore, Ms. Dangerfield is requesting that she be permitted to turn the house to face Grove. This creates an issue with the lot depth, so the Board is asked to grant a variance to allow the depth of the lot to be less than that required by the Zoning Ordinance. 4. Consideration of and action on the petition of Caroline Dangerfield granting a variance of Zoning Ordinance No. 1710, Section 9.301 to modify the permitted depth of the lot from 100' to 73' in order to rotate the home to face Grove Street, on Lot 1, Block 3, Kinzie A Pickiard Addition, located at 1020 7 ~ Street N.E. The recommendation was made for Caroline Dangerfield to modify the depth of the lot in order to rotate the home. Motion to grant the -. , .- -- '-'1"
