RESOLUTION NO. 2006-055
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS, APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE MAIN STREET
ADVISORY BOARD TO FILL THE EXPIRED TERMS OF SUZY HARPER,
DAVID HOUSE, BARBARA WILSON AND RENEE HARVEY,
ALTERNATE, WHICH TERMS EXPIRE ON MARCH 31, 2006, AND TO
APPOINT A MEMBER TO SERVE THE UNEXPIRED TERM OF BAILEY
GANT AS ALTERNATE, WHICH EXPIRES MARCH 31, 2007; MAKING
OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the terms of office of Suzy Harper, David House, Barbara Wilson and Renee
Harvey, alternate, as members of the Main Street Advisory Board of the City of Paris, will expire
on March 31, 2006; and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris does hereby recommend the reappointment of
Barbara Wilson and the appointment of Lisa House, Casey Rose, and Karol Lyn Moore, alternate,
for terms of three (3) years, beginning Apri11, 2006, and ending March 31, 2009; and,
WHEREAS, there exists a vacancy on the membership of the Main Street Advisory Board
of the City of Paris due to the resignation of Bailey Gant, and it is necessary to appoint his successor;
and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris does hereby recommend the appointment of
Matthew Coyle as alternate to serve the unexpired term of Bailey Gant, which ends March 31, 2007;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things
approved.
Section 2. That Barbara Wilson be, and she is hereby reappointed, and Lisa House, Casey
Rose, and Karol Lyn Moore, alternate, be, and they are hereby, appointed to serve as members ofthe
Main Street Advisory Board for terms of three (3) years, beginning April 1 ,2006, and ending March
31,2009.
Section 3. That Matthew Coyle be, and he is hereby, appointed to serve the unexpired term
of Bailey Gant as alternate, which ends March 31, 2007 as a member of the Main Street Advisory
Board of the City of Paris.
Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
