RESOLUTION NO. 2006-066
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS, APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE BAND COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF PARIS TO SERVE THE UNEXPIRED TERM OF LINDA
SUAREZ, WHICH EXPIRES JUNE 30 2007; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS
AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, there exists a vacancy on the membership of the Band Commission of the
City of Paris due to the resignation of Linda Suarez, and it is necessary to appoint her successor;
and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris does hereby recommend the appointment of
Becky Semple to serve the unexpired term of Linda Suarez, which ends June 30, 2007; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things
approved.
Section 2. That Becky Semple be, and she is hereby, appointed to serve the unexpired
term of Linda Suarez, which ends June 30, 2007as a member of the Band Commission of the
City of Paris.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
