1. The Historic Preservation Commission meeting was called to order by
Chairman Arvin Starrett at 4:00 P.M.
A. The following members were present:
Paul Denney
Sue Lancaster
Alternate: Brian Wear
Becki Norment (4:05 p.m.)
The following members were absent:
Jerry Raper
Ann Rogers, Secretary
Claudia Hunt
Also present was Lisa Wright, Historic Preservation Officer, and Bethany
Golden, Main Street Coordinator/Asst. HPO.
2. A. 643 Church Street - Trey Elliott. Trey Elliott said that there are porch
structures added to the front of the house that he would like to remove
to make the house more historic. Motion was made to approve the COA
by Paul Denney, seconded by Sue Lancaster. Motion carried 4-0.
B. 309 Church Street - Central Presbyterian Day School, by Flo Brunette.
Flo Brunette said that they are requesting to put a 4 x 4 sign on the
north side of the building. On the east side there will be a more
whimsical sign. Motion was made to approve the COA by Sue
Lancaster, seconded by Brian Wear. Motion carried 4-0.
Becki Norment arrived at 4:05 p.m.
3. Request items for future agendas. None
4. The meeting adjourned at 4:05 p.m.
