RESOLUTION NO. 2006-071
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS, APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE HISTORIC
PRESERVATION COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PARIS TO FILL THE
UNEXPIRED TERM OF BARBARA WILSON, WHICH ENDS JULY 31,
2007; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE
SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, their exists a vacancy on the membership of the Historic Preservation
Commission of the City of Paris, due to the resignation of Barbara Wilson, and it is necessary
to appoint her successor; and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the city of Paris does hereby recommend the appointment of
Pike Burkhart to serve the unexpired term of office of Barbara Wilson, which will expire on
July 31, 2007; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
TEXAS:
Section 1. That the fmdings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all
things approved.
Section 2. That Pike Burkhart be, and he is hereby, appointed to serve the unexpired
term of Barbara Wilson, which ends July 31, 2007, as a member of the Historic Preservation
Commission of the City of Paris.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
