<br />. / <br /> <br />\J\Y\ <br />. ;~p . \ <br />\".. \JJ .~~ ( ) <br />I i <br />I <br /> <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br />PARIS-LAMAR COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> <br />The Paris-Lamar County Board of Health held its regular meeting, Tuesday March 21,2006, at <br />the Paris-Lamar County Health Department. Board members in attendance include Mr. Ted <br />Gibson, Dr. Bert Strom, Dr. Wally Kraft, and Dr. David Carpenter. Others in attendance <br />included Mr. Tony Williams, Judge Superville, Mr. Anthony Bethel, Ms. Martha Jo Anderson, <br />and Mrs. Carla Rhodes. <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:30 PM. <br /> <br />Minutes of previous meeting was approved with motion by Mr. Carpenter and second by Dr. <br />Strom. <br /> <br />Mr. Bethel discussed contracting with an independent laboratory to do the water testing. Cost of <br />water testing with Ana Lab will be $22.00 a trip, twice a week and 12.00 a sample for testing <br />with all supplies provided. Health Department charges $25.00 a water sample. <br /> <br />Dr. Strom made a motion to approve using an independent laboratory to do water testing with a <br />written agreement on handling a positive water sample in writing within 24 hours. Second was <br />made by Mr. Ted Gibson. Vote passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Bethel discussed immunizations, letting Carol Hill, RN, do yearly audits on Schools and <br />Daycares, giving her a $300.00 a month raise. <br /> <br />Ms. Martha Jo Anderson states that she is over loaded with new patients, 30 new patients <br />screened for COPC/Title V in 13 days. She states that she needs help or decrease load because <br />she is only suppose to work thirty hours per week. <br /> <br />Dr. Carpenter discussed not seeing out of county patients or charging a fee for out of county <br />patients. <br /> <br />Mr. Bethel states that he will look at the Title V contract to see if the Health Department can <br />quit seeing out of county patients. <br /> <br />Judge Superville states it should be, we are Lamar County and that is who we serve. <br /> <br />Ms. Martha Jo Anderson states she can't find anyone to refer mental health patients to and she <br />sees 2-3 per week. <br /> <br />:...... <br />
