2006-078-RES-lease agreement Archers for Christ RESOLUTION NO. 2006-078 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE EXERCISE OF OPTION TO EXTEND THE TERMS OF A LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OFP ARIS AND ARCHERS FOR CHRIST BY EXTENDING THE TERMS FOR USE OF TRACTS ONE (1) AND SEVEN (7) FOR ADDITIONAL FIVE CONSECUTIVE ONE-YEAR TERMS; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 10th day of September, 2001, in Resolution No. 2001-152, authorize the execution of a Lease Agreement with Archers for Christ for the property located at Lake Crook; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 10th day of October, 2002, in Resolution No. 2002-158, authorize the execution of Addendum Number One to said Lease Agreement; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 8th day of November, 2004, in Resolution No. 2004-192 authorize the execution of Addendum Number Two to said Lease Agreement; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is in receipt of an Exercise of Option from Archers for Christ, the form of which is attached hereto as Exhibit A, for an extension of the term of said Lease for use of tracts One (1) and Seven (7) for five (5) consecutive one (1) year terms; and, WHEREAS, the City Council deems it appropriate to grant the exercise of option to Archers for Christ to extend the use of Areas One (1) and Seven) for five (5) consecutive one (1) year terms beginning October 1,2006, and ending September 30,2007, with subsequent one (1) year terms on the anniversary date thereafter, ending September 30, 2011, and the City Manager should be authorized to acknowledge acceptance of said Exercise of Option by signing the same; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS TEXAS:, Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the Exercise of Option by Archers for Christ, the form of which is attached hereto as Exhibit A, be, and the same is hereby, granted to extend the use of tracts One (1) and Seven (7) for additional five (5) consecutive one (1) year terms beginning October 1, 2006, and ending September 30, 2007, with subsequent one (1) year terms on the anniversary date thereafter, ending September 30, 2011; and, Section 3. That the City Manager of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to acknowledge acceptance, on behalf of the City of Paris, of said Exercise of Option by signing the same. Lestock, City Attorney EXERCISE OF OPTION STATE OF TEXAS ) ) COUNTY OF LAMAR ) KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, that the Archers for Christ did heretofore, on the 10th day of September, 2001, execute a Lease Agreement for that portion of Lake Crook property described on Exhibit A to said lease, attached thereto and made a part thereof, with the CITY OF PARIS, Paris, Texas, a municipal corporation. Archers for Christ does hereby exercise its option to extend the term of said lease for use of tracts One (1) and Seven (7) for additional five (5) consecutive one (1) year terms beginning October 1,2006, and ending September 30,2007, with subsequent one (1) year terms on the anniversary date thereafter, ending September 30, 2011 in accordance with the terms of said Lease Agreement dated September 10, 2001. day of May, 2006.
