RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
TEXAS, RECOMMENDING THAT THE PARIS ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
CORPORATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS CONSIDER A CHANGE IN STAFF
FOR THE PARIS ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION; MAKING
OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris has acknowledged concern regarding the working
relationship with the current Director of the Paris Economic Development Corporation (PEDe); and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris would appreciate the PEDC Board of Directors
considering a change in staff in order to hire a PEDC Director that would be better able to work more closely
with the City Council and said recommendation should be made to the PEDC Board of Directors; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things
approved.
Section 2. That the Paris Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors be, and are
hereby, requested to consider the City Council of the City of Paris ' recommendation that they make a change
in staff to hire a new Director of the Paris Economic Development Corporation that would be willing to work
more closely with the City Council of the City of Paris.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
