<br />RESOLUTION NO. 98-119 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 30th day of April, <br />1998, in Resolution No. 98-057, authorize an application to be made to the Texas Automobile Theft <br />Prevention Authority for an Automobile Theft Prevention Grant; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Texas Automobile Theft Prevention Authority has issued its Grant Award <br />entitled "Northeast Texas Automobile Theft Task Force," No. SA-99- TO 1-09295, for the year beginning <br />September 1, 1998, and ending August 31, 1999, in the total amount of $75,000.00, requiring no <br />matching funds; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, acceptance of the same must occur within forty-five (45) days of the date of said <br />award, which occurred on August 03, 1998; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interests of the citizens of Paris that the City of Paris <br />accept said Grant A ward and continue to improve the Automobile Theft Prevention Program in the City <br />of Paris; NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the <br />Automobile Theft Prevention Program Grant entitled "Northeast Texas Automobile Theft Task Force," <br />No. SA-99-T01-09295, in the total amount of $75,000.00, requiring no matching funds, be, and the <br />same is hereby, accepted; and, <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Manager of the City of Paris, Michael E. <br />Malone, be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, the <br />Grantee Acceptance Notice under the terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A, attached <br />hereto. <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 10th day of August, 1998. <br /> <br />Charles H.
