1998-111-RES WHEREAS, CITY COUNCIL, IN AN EFFORT TO KEEP THE AD VALOREM TAX
RESOLUTION NO. 98-111
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, in an effort to keep the ad valorem tax
rate as low as possible, did budget in the 1997-98 Budget funds to be generated from the sale of
surplus property; and,
WHEREAS, Lots 5,6,7, and 8, Block 7, Springlake Addition and Lots 8,9, 10, and 11,
Block 8, Springlake Addition, with all nine lots being in the 200 and 300 blocks on the west side
of Collegiate Drive, have no planned municipal use, either presently or in the foreseeable future,
and it is deemed appropriate that said property be declared surplus and sold in accordance with
the laws of the State of Texas and the Charter of the City of Paris; NOW, THEREI'ORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that Lots
5, 6,7, and 8, Block 7, Springlake Addition and Lots 8,9, 10, and 11, Block 8, Springlake
Addition, be, and the same are hereby, declared to be surplus; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said property should be sold in accordance with the
laws of the State of Texas and the Charter of the City of Paris.
