1998-110-RES WHEREAS, CITY COUNCIL HAS BEEN MADE AWARE OF THE FACT
RESOLUTION NO. 98-110
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris has been made aware of the fact
that Lots 5, 6, 7, and 8, Block 7, Springlake Addition and Lots 8, 9, 10, and 11, Block 8,
Springlake Addition, with all nine lots being in the 200 and 300 blocks on the west side of
Collegiate Drive, within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, has a zoning classification
of One-Family Dwelling District No.2 (SF-2); and,
WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interest of the citizens of Paris that such
zoning classification be reviewed by the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of
Paris and, in the event that the same should be changed to a Planned Development District
a (PDa) classification, that such recommendation should be made to the City Council for
final action; and,
WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that a public hearing be set before the Planning
and Zoning Commission at 5:30 p.m., in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, Paris,
Texas, on Tuesday, the 8th day of September, 1998, and before the City Council at 6:00
p.m. on the 10th day of September, 1998; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY O}' PARIS, that
the matter of appropriate zoning on Lots 5, 6, 7, and 8, Block 7, Spring lake Addition and
Lots 8, 9, 10, and 11, Block 8, Springlake Addition, be, and the same are hereby, referred
to the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Paris for its recommendation
concerning the proper zoning of the same; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held by and before the
Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Paris at 5: 30 p. m., in the City Council
Chamber, City Hall, Paris, Texas, on Tuesday, the 8th day of September, 1998, and that
a public hearing be held by and before the City Council of the City of Paris at 6:00 p.m. in
the City Council Chamber, City Hall, Paris, Texas, on the 10th day of September, 1998,
said public hearings to be held concerning appropriate zoning on said property.
