MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING
PARIS-LAMAR COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH
The Paris-Lamar County Board of Health held its regular meeting, Tuesday May 30,2006, at
the Paris-Lamar County Health Department. Board members in attendance include Dr. Robert
Moseley, Dr. Caroline Wilson, Mr. Ted Gibson, Mr. Larry Reaves, Dr. David Carpenter and
Ms. Denise Williams. Others in attendance included Judge Superville, Mr. Anthony Bethel and
Mrs. Carla Rhodes.
The meeting was called to order at 6:20 PM.
Mr. Bethel presented budget, covering budget line by line, discussing changes requested for
FY2007.
Mr. Gibson requested "Miscellaneous" on WIC's budget, be changed to "Accounting."
Dr. Carpenter states Lamar County should get the Family Planning Grant, requested Judge
Superville to call Mark Homer.
Dr. Carpenter request to ask Gene Anderson where he got the amount of$144,025.00 in
Immunizations.
Mr. Reaves requested that WIC's telephone budgeted amount for FY2007 be decreased, since in
the first six months ofFY2006 only 1,345.65 had actually been spent.
Board members requested to change the amount budgeted for FY2007 for the City of Paris and
Lamar County to $75,000.00
Dr. Carpenter requested Mr. Bethel to ask Martha Joe Anderson about becoming a Board
Certified Lactation Consultant, to contract with WIC.
Mr. Gibson made a motion to accept budget with changes, the second by Dr. Carpenter. Motion
was passed unanimously.
Minutes of previous meeting approved, motion made by Mr. Reaves and second by Mr. Gibson.
Meeting adjourned at 7 :45PM.
