The Historic Preservation Commission meeting was called to order by <br />Chairman Arvin Starrett at 12:00 P.M. <br /> <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Pike Burkhart <br />Paul Denney <br />Sharon Nabors <br />Nancy Partridge <br />Susan Scholz <br />Ann Rogers <br />Alternate: Brian Wear <br /> <br />The following members were absent: <br />Alternate: Vanessa Preston <br /> <br />B. Also present was Lisa Wright, Historic Preservation Officer; Beth <br />Golden, Main Street Coordinator; and Robert Talley, Code Inspector. <br /> <br />2. Election of officers for upcoming year: <br /> <br />A. Chairman. Pike Burkhart nominated Arvin Starrett as Chairman, <br />seconded by Paul Denney. Motion carried 8-0. <br /> <br />B. Vice-Chairman. Brian Wear nominated Paul Denney as Vice-Chairman, <br />seconded by Ann Rogers. Motion carried 8-0. <br /> <br />C. Secretary. Paul Denney nominated Ann Rogers as Secretary. Ann <br />Rogers declined. Pike Burkhart nominated Susan Scholz as Secretary, <br />seconded by Paul Denney. Motion carried 8-0. <br /> <br />3. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. (June 5, 2006; June 22, 2006; <br />June 26, 2006). Motion was made to approve the minutes by Brian Wear, <br />seconded by Pike Burkhart. Motion carried 8-0. <br /> <br />r- <br />
