Also present was: Jamie Fussell with the Paris News,
Beth Golden, Director of Main Street and Coordinator for Festival of
Pumpkins, and Sally Wright with the City of Paris-Coordinator of Dixie
Darlings
Chairman Richard Manning called the meeting to order at 4 PM.
Richard Manning welcomed newly elected City Council member, Mary
Ann Fisher who is completing term on the V & CC Board of former
council member, Karen Wilkerson. Also, we welcomed Emily
O'Connor, President of P AAA who is completing term of past
President, April Inmon.
The May financial report was approved on a motion made by Bobby
Walters seconded by Mike Patterson.
Minutes from the last V & CC meeting were approved on a motion
made by Bobby Walters and seconded by Roy Gwinn.

Beth Golden made a funding request for $2500 for the Pumpkin
Festival. Roy Gwinn made a motion to fund $2500 and Bobby Walters
seconded the motion. Before members could vote, Mike Patterson
questioned the scoring criteria, and asks what the sub-committee stated.
The scoring sheet gave a score of 50 points which would state the
funding should be $1250. Bobby Walters made a new motion to fund
$1250 for the Pumpkin Festival and Gail Dority seconded the motion.
Motion carried with 5 for and 1 opposition.
Funding request for Dixie Darlings stated $2500.00. Gail Dority made a
motion to fund $1600.00, and Tim Masters seconded the motion.
Motion carried.
Mindy Moree presented the 2007 V & CC Budget, and also made
mention that $16,000 was added to the budget to assist in bringing the
ASA Pro-Am Tour in March of 2007 as well as to help fund other
events. Bobby Walters made a motion to approve the budget as
presented, and the motion passed on second by Mary Lou Coe.
Mindy Moree presented the 2007 Love Civic Center Budget. Mike
Patterson made a motion to approve the budget as presented and the
motion passed on a second by Mary Lou Coe.
The meeting was adjourned by Chairman, Richard Manning.
