Meeting Minutes
Thursday, July 20, 2006
A regular meeting of the members of the Paris Visitors and Convention Council was held
On Thursday, July 20,2006 at 4:00 PM, in the community room of the Chamber of
Commerce, with Richard Manning, Chairman, presiding.

Also present was: Jamie Fussell with the Paris News, and Paul Spencer - Super Series
Baseball
Chairman Richard Manning called the meeting to order at 4 PM.
Due to Mindy's leave of absence resulting from an accident, the minutes and financial
report are on hold until next meeting.
Paul Spencer made his presentation to the Board about the Super Series Baseball
Tournament and funding needs. He presented the Board with an itemized list of income
and expenditures which is attached to these minutes.
Mary Lou Coe made a motion that the Board fund $2500.00. Richard Manning pointed
out that Paul had changed the amount requested to $1,100.00 due to reduction in cost
because the umpire cost will not be needed due to volunteers filling in for this.
Mary Lou Coe made a motion that the Board fund the $1,100.00. Roy Gwinn seconded
the motion. A vote was taken at this time due to further discussion. Bobby Walters made
a motion that the amount funded be $500.00, and Helen seconded the motion. After
much discussion the board voted with a majority to fund the $500.00.
There was no further business at this time.
The meeting was adjourned by Chairman Richard manning.
