President Sims Norment called the meeting to order at 4:05.
Minutes from November 1, 2006 meeting were approved on a motion made by
Glen Bawcum seconded by John Wright.
Financials for month ending October 2006 were approved on a motion made by
Rodney Bass seconded by Glen Bawcum.
Sims Norment reported that bids to shred the industrial park were obtained. On a
motion made by Rodney Bass and seconded by John Wright the lowest bid of$12 per
acre from Bob Rast was approved.
Sims Norment gave a brief report on the executive director position shared with
the Chamber. John Wright expressed that the board should decide on one position or two
before the interview process begins, because the applicants would need to know what the
specific job requirements are before applying for the job.
Glen Bawcum reported that the Pace Group was hired to give the board their opinion on
rather or not the positions should be split. Rodney Bass reported the he would like for the
Pace Group to put something in writing for the board to review. Sims Norment reported
that he would contact John Lovom and have a report ready for the board to review at the
next meeting.
The board went into executive session at 4:20 to discuss a possible industrial
prospect. Executive session was closed at 4:40.
The next scheduled meeting is Wednesday, December 20,2006. With no further
business to come before the board, the meeting was adjourned at 4:41 p.m.
