as the Chief Executive Officer. Duties included working with the city council to estublish

I. Ejected in 1977, 1978 and 1980 to the Board of the Missowi Municipal League. Thi5
sixteen member bolinJ composed of twelve elected and four appointed officials on a

as established by its 445 member municipalities.
Missouri Lo~1 Government Statewide Retirement Board
Elected by the member representatives as a board member of the State Retirement Board,
This seven member board is responsible for the ()veraU adminislration and investment policy
funnation for the state wide Local Government Retirement System. Approximately one
hundred and ninety million doUars is held by this retirement system. Served seven years on
this board, from J 973 -1980.
Missouri City Management Association
Elected in 1980 by lhe members of the Missouri City Manager's Association to serve as
President of the association. Prior to that time had served as Vice-President and Treasurer.
This association involves itself with the improvement of counci]~management governments. It
also functions as the state link 10 the lnternational City Management Association.

Elected in 1985 by the members of the Texas City Manager's Association to the State Board
oftbe association. Received the TCMA Lifetime Achievement Award in June 2004.
