A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS, REAPPOINTING DR. DA VID CARPENTER, MRS. DENISE
WILLIAMS, MR. LARRY REAVES, DR. GORDON B. STROM, JR., AND
DR. CAROLINE WILSON AS MEMBERS OF THE PARIS-LAMAR
COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND
PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the terms of office of Dr. David Carpenter, Mrs. Denise Williams, Mr. Larry
Reaves, Dr. Gordon B. Strom, Jr., and Dr. Caroline Wilson, as members of the Paris-Lamar County
Board of Health, will expire on December 31, 2006; and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris, with the advice of the County Judge of Lamar
County, Texas, does hereby recommend the reappointment of Dr. David Carpenter, Mrs. Denise
Williams, Mr. Larry Reaves, Dr. Gordon B. Strom, Jr., and Dr. Caroline Wilson, for terms of two
(2) years, beginning January 1,2007, and ending December 31,2008; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
TEXAS, AND THE COMMISSIONERS COURT OF THE COUNTY OF LAMAR:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things
approved.
Section 2. That Dr. David Carpenter, Mrs. Denise Williams, Mr. Larry Reaves, Dr. Gordon
B. Strom, Jr., and Dr. Caroline Wilson, be, and they are hereby, reappointed, to serve as members
of the Paris-Lamar County Board of Health for terms of two (2) years, beginning January 1,2007,
and ending December 31, 2008.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
