<br />MINUTES <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PARIS CITY HALL <br />CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />107 E. KAUFMAN STREET <br />PARIS. TEXAS <br />WEDNESDAY. JANUARY 10.2007 <br />12:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br /> <br />1. The Historic Preservation Commission meeting was called to order by <br />Chairman Arvin Starrett at 12:00 P.M. <br /> <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Arvin Starrett, Chairman <br />Nancy Partridge <br />Sharon Nabors <br />Susan Scholz <br />Ann Rogers <br /> <br />The following members were absent: <br />Pike Burkhart <br />Paul Denney <br />Alternates: Vanessa Preston <br />Brian Wear <br /> <br />B. Also present was Lisa Wright, Historic Preservation Officer, and <br />Bethany Golden, Main Street Manager. <br /> <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. Motion made by Susan Scholz, <br />seconded by Nancy Partridge, to approve the minutes for November 13, 2006, <br />and November 30, 2006. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br />3. Consideration of and action on the following Certificates of Appropriateness: <br /> <br />A. 2 Clarksville - Becki Norment - Becki Norment stated that she is trying <br />to make the property look like it did originally. She will paint or stain <br />cypress wood, and, if painted, it will be the same color as Always <br />Welcome, and, if stained, she will use Mahogany. Motion was made to <br />approve the COA by Ann Rogers, seconded by Susan Scholz. Motion <br />carried 5-0. <br /> <br />B. 824 S. Main Street - Mariano Sanchez - This is Mr. Sanchez's second <br />request to finish the house with 5V crimp metal roof. Lisa Wright <br />referred the Commission to a time line she had included in the packet <br /> <br />r" " <br />
