1. The Historic Preservation Commission meeting was called to order by
Chairman Arvin Starrett at 12:02 P.M.
A. The following members were present:
Arvin Starrett, Chairman
Paul Denney, Vice-Chairman
Susan Scholz, Secretary
Sharon Nabors
Ann Rogers
Pike Burkhart
Alternate: Brian Wear
The following members were absent:
Nancy Partridge
Alternate: Vanessa Preston
B. Also present was Bethany Golden, Main Street Manager.
2. Consideration of and action on the following Certificates of Appropriateness:
A. 824 S. Main Street - Diana Zablosky. Ms. Zablosky told the commission
she plans to paint, add new lighting fixtures, and replace the roof with
a composition roof. At a later date, she will be applying for a COA for
a fence. She will be moving from Honey Grove to Paris and will occupy
the house upon completion of renovations.
Mr. Starrett explained the composition roof will look like the old shake
roof that was originally on the structure.
Motion was made to approve the COA by Brian Wear, seconded by
Susan Scholz. Motion carried 7-0.
