DESCRIPTION:
Update on the status of steps taken to purchase the water rights in Pat Mayse
Reservoir.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The City proposes to pay in full for all water rights in Pat Mayse Reservoir. This
would include spaces one and two currently being paid for on an installment basis
and spaces three, four, and five on which no payments have been made. The cost
under the proposal would be not more than $3,635,819.24. Congressman Hall has
successfully included our proposal in HR 1495 (the Water Resources Development
Act of 2007). The next key step will be the conference committee reconciliation of
the House and Senate versions of the bill.
