REGULAR MEETING

1. The Board of Adjustment meeting was called to order by Chairman Terry
Christian at 12:00 p.m.
A. The following members were present:
Kyle Mc Carley
Howard Corriston
Chester Martindale
Alternate: David Glass
B. The following members were absent:
Rodney Bass
Alternate: Louis Yates
C. Also present were Lisa A. Wright, Community Development Director,
and Shawn Napier, City Engineer.
2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. Motion to approve the minutes
of the January 3, 2007, meeting was made by David Glass, seconded by
Chester Martindale. Motion carried 5-0.
3. Public Hearing to consider the petition of Todd and Amy Stephens to grant a
variance of Zoning Ordinance No. 1710, Section 9-701(1), to modify the
required rear yard setback from 10' to 7 %~ which would be a 2 %' variance,
on Lot 10, Block M, Oak Creek Addition, Phase VIII, being number 2910
Meandering Way.
Todd Stephens, 2910 Meandering Way, stated that he wanted to install a
swimming pool; however, the current setbacks did not allow him to place as
closely to the backyard line as needed.
Jim Kays, 2935 Aspen, stated that he did not object to the request, he just
wanted to make sure no fences or services will be cut when the pool is
installed.
4. Consideration of and action on the petition of Todd and Amy Stephens to
grant a variance of Zoning Ordinance No. 1710, Section 9- 701 (1), to modify the
required rear yard setback from 10' to 7 %~ which would be a 2 %' variance,
on Lot 10, Block At, Oak Creek Addition, Phase VIII, being number 2910
Meandering Way. Motion made by Kyle McCarley, seconded by Chester
Martindale, to approve the variance request. Motion carried 5-0.
