DESCRIPTION:
I Update on cost of pool car operations.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The City Council eliminated all car allowances from the 2007-08 budget except for
emergency services (Police, EMS, & Fire). Several used vehicles were assembled
for use by other staff members. One of these vehicles is being placed in the on line
auction to be held later this summer. As of the end of June fuel expenses totaled
$433.33, vehicle repairs totaled $1275.45, and insurance costs have been
$754.00. Total expenses to date are $2,462.78. Experience shows that employees
usually use their personal vehicles rather than the pool cars.
