SPECIAL MEETING
OF THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF PARIS
June 27, 2007
The City Council ofthe City of Paris met for a special session at 4:00 P. M. Wednesday, June
27,2007, at the City Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufinan, Paris, Texas.
Present:
Mayor:
Jesse James Freelen
Council Members: Will Biard; Mary Ann Fisher; Kevin Gray;
Stephen Brown; Don Wilson; and Bill
Strathern, Mayor Pro Tern
City Staff: Ernie Clark, Interim City Manager; Kent
McIlyar, City Attorney; and Janice Ellis, City
Clerk
1. Mayor Freelen called the meeting to order.
2. Pledge of Allegiance.
Council Member Wilson led the pledge.
3. Convene in Executive Session pursuant to Section 551.074 of the Texas Government Code,
to discuss potential city manager candidates.
Mayor Freelen asked for a motion to convene into Executive Session. Council Member
Fisher made a Motion to convene into Executive Session and Council Member Wilson seconded the
Motion. Motion carried - 7 ayes, 0 nays.
Mayor Freelen convened Council into Executive Session at 4:06 p.m.
4. Reconvene in Open Session.
Mayor Freelen reconvened into open session at 5:59 p.m.
5. Adjournment.
There being no further business, Council Member Biard made a Motion to adjourn and
Council Member Fisher seconded the Motion. Motion carried, 6 ayes - 0 nays. The meeting was
adjourned at 6:00 p.m.
