RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
TEXAS, APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE AIRPORT ADVISORY
BOARD TO SERVE THE UNEXPIRED TERM OF RONNIE BALLARD,
WHICH EXPIRES DECEMBER 31, 2008; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS
AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, there exists a vacancy on the membership of the Airport Advisory Board of the
City of Paris due to the resignation of Ronnie Ballard, and it is necessary to appoint someone to serve
out Ronnie Ballard's unexpired term; and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris does hereby recommend the appointment of
to serve the unexpired term of Ronnie Ballard, which ends December 31,2008;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PARIS, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things
approved.
Section 2. That the City Council has received and reviewed the recommendations of the
Mayor for the Airport Advisory Board and hereby approves and appoints the following persons to
serve on the Airport Advisory Board.
Section 3. That be, and (he/she) is hereby, appointed to serve the
unexpired term of Ronnie Ballard, which ends December 31, 2008, as a member of the Airport
Advisory Board of the City of Paris.
Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.

Seven members; serves two year staggered terms; Mayor recommends and Council
appoints; meets third Thursday of every month.
Acts in an advisory capacity to the City Council in relation to the Municipal Airport, its operation
and facilities; makes recommendations on changes and additions to the facilities at Cox Field,
changes to lease terms for hangar rental, and use of the land at Cox Field.
