A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
TEXAS, APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE LIBRARY ADVISORY BOARD
OF THE CITY OF PARIS; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS
RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the terms of office of Bill Kennedy, Eddie Poole, and Jake Street, as members
of the Library Advisory Board of the City of Paris, expired on June 30, 2007; and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris does hereby recommend the (re )appointment( s)
of [NAME(S) 1 [and the appointment(s) of [NAME(S) 1] for terms of
three (3) years, beginning July 1,2007, and ending June 30, 2010;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PARIS, TEXAS.
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things
approved.
Section 2. That the City Council has received and reviewed the recommendations of the
Mayor for the Library Advisory Board fo the City of Paris and hereby approves and appoints the
following persons to serve on the Library Advisory Board.
Section 3. That [NAME(S) 1 be, and (he/she/they) (is/are) hereby,
(re)appointed [and that [NAME(S) 1 be, and (he/she/they) (is/are) hereby,
appointed] to serve as members of the Library Advisory Board of the City of Paris for terms of three
(3) years, beginning July 1,2007, and ending June 30, 2010.
Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.

Acts in an advisory capacity to the City of Paris to study and make recommendations
concerning library services, maintenance and improvement of facilities, and capital
improvement projects.

NORTHEAST TEXAS LIBRARY SYSTEM
One member, one alternate; two year terms; Library Advisory Board recommends and
City Council appoints.
The Northeast Texas Library System (NETLS) serves the public libraries in 33 counties
in the northeast corner of the state. The informational and cultural needs of the residents
of this area are diverse, but cooperation helps NETLS members meet the challenge of
bringing the best in library service to their own communities.
