A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
TEXAS, APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE PLANNING AND ZONING
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PARIS, MAKING OTHER FINDINGS
AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the terms of office of Kent Marshall and Benny Plata, as members of the
Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Paris, expired on June 30, 2007; and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris does hereby recommend the (re )appointment of
[NAME(S) 1 [and the appointment of [NAME(S) 1] for terms of
three (3) years, beginning July 1,2007, and ending June 30, 2010;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IS RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PARIS, TEXAS.
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things
approved.
Section 2. That the City Council has received and reviewed the recommendations of the
Mayor for the Planning and Zoning Commission and hereby approves and appoints the following
persons to serve on the Planning and Zoning Commission.
Section 3. That [NAME(S) 1 be, and (he/she/they) (is/are) hereby,
(re )appointed, [and that [NAME(S) 1 be, and (he/she/they) (is/are) hereby, appointed]
to serve as members of the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Paris for terms of three
(3) years, beginning July 1,2007, and ending June 30, 2010.
Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.

preceding time of appointment; three practicing physicians, one practicing dentist;
three citizens; two year staggered terms; appointed by joint action of Lamar County
Commissioners Court and the Paris City Council.
To advise the Director on health matters.

Reviews the requests by citizens and corporations for changes in zoning inside the
city limits of Paris and makes re..commendations to City Council for the approval or
disapproval of those requests.
