RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
TEXAS, APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE TRAFFIC COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF PARIS, MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS
RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the terms of office of George Fisher, Mary Lane, and Dr. Thomas Calabria, as
members of the Traffic Commission of the City of Paris, expired on June 30, 2007; and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris does hereby recommend the (re )appointment of
[NAME(S) 1 [and the appointment of [NAME(S)]] for(a)term(s) of three
(3) years, beginning [DATE 1, and ending [DATE];
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PARIS, TEXAS.
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things
approved.
Section 2. That the City Council has received and reviewed the recommendations of the
Mayor for the Traffic Commission and hereby approves and appoints the following persons to serve
on the Traffic Commission.
Section 3. That [NAME(S) 1 be, and (he/she/they) (is/are) hereby,
(re)appointed, [and that [NAME(S) 1 be, and (he/she/they) (is/are) hereby,
appointed] to serve as (a) member(s) ofthe Traffic Commission of the City of Paris for (a) term(s)
of three (3) years, beginning July 1,2007, and ending June 30, 2010.
Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.

TRAFFIC COMMISSION
Nine members; citizens of Paris; three year staggered terms; Mayor appoints upon
recommendation of the majority of the remaining members of the commission and
Council confirms; meets as needed.
The Commission considers and proposes measures designed to minimize technical
and difficult traffic problems resulting from increased vehicular traffic in Paris. Traffic
Safety Coordinator provides staff support and coordination for the Commission.
