A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
TEXAS, APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE BUILDING AND STANDARDS
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PARIS, MAKING OTHER FINDINGS
AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the terms of office of Brad Archer, Chad Brown, Mary Crumpler, Zach Saffle
(Alternate), and Chris Brown (Alternate), as members of the Building and Standards Commission
of the City of Paris, expired on June 30, 2007; and,
WHEREAS, there exists another vacancy on the Building and Standards Commission due
to the resignation of Stephen Brown who has been elected to the City Council of the City of Paris,
and it is necessary to appoint his successor; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris does hereby recommend the reappointments of
Mary Crumpler, Chris Brown, and Zach Saffle (Alternate) and the appointment of Bryan Lassiter
for terms of two (2) years, beginning July 1, 2007, and ending June 30, 2009, leaving Chris Brown's
Alternate position temporarily open;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PARIS, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things
approved.
Section 2. That the City Council has received and reviewed the recommendations ofthe
Mayor for the Building and Standards Commission and hereby approves and appoints the following
persons to serve on the Building and Standards Commission.
Section 3. That Mary Crumpler, Chris Brown and Zach Saffle (Alternate) be, and they are
hereby, reappointed, and Ryan Lassiter be, and he is hereby, appointed to serve as members of the
Building and Standards Commission of the City of Paris for terms of two (2) years, beginning
approximately July 1, 2007, and ending June 30, 2009.
Section 4. That Bill Harris be, and he is hereby appointed to serve the unexpired term of
Stephen Brown as (Alternate) which expires June 30, 2008.
Section 5. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
