SPECIAL MEETING
OF THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF PARIS
August 7, 2007
The City Council of the City of Paris met for a special meeting at 5:00 P. M. Tuesday,
August 7, 2007, at the City Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufman, Paris, Texas.
Present: Mayor: Jesse James Freelen
Council Members: Will Biard; Don Wilson; Stephen Brown;
and Bill Strathern, Mayor Pro Tern
City Staff: Ernie Clark, Interim City Manager; Kent
McIlyar, City Attorney; and Janice Ellis,
City Clerk
Absent: Council Members: Mary Ann Fisher and Kevin Gray
1. Mayor Freelen called the meeting to order at 5:08 p.m..
2. Open Meetings Act Training.
The Open Meetings Act training D VD provided by the Texas Attorney General's Office
was viewed. Council Member Wilson left the meeting at 6: 1 0 p.m.
3. Public Information Act Training.
The Public Information Act training DVD provided by the Texas Attorney General's
Office was viewed.
4. Adjournment.
There being no further business, Council Member Biard made a Motion to adjourn and
Council Member Strathern seconded the Motion. Motion carried, 4 ayes - 0 nays. The meeting
was adjourned at ~10 p.m.
