A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND/OR HIS DESIGNEE
TO GIVE NOTICE OF TERMINATION OF THE AGREEMENT FOR
AIRPORT MANAGEMENT DATED DECEMBER 13, 2004 TO J. B. RICHEY,
PRESIDENT OF J. R. AVIATION; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND
PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on December 13, 2004 the City Council of the City of Paris adopted Resolution
2004-207 approving and authorizing an Agreement for management of Cox Field Airport with J. R.
Aviation; and,
WHEREAS, it has been determined this Agreement should be terminated and the City
Managerand/or his designee give J. B. Richey, President of J. R. Aviation sixty (60) days notice of
termination of the Agreement for Airport Management dated December 13, 2004;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PARIS, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things
approved.
Section 2. That the City Council hereby determines it is in the best interest of the City of
Paris and its citizens to terminate the Airport Management Agreement dated December 13, 2004.
Section 3. That the City Manager and/or his designee is hereby authorized to give J. B.
Richey, President of J. R. Aviation sixty (60) days notice of termination of the Agreement for Airport
Management dated December 13, 2004.
Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
