A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
TEXAS, ACCEPTING AND APPROVING THE LOVE CIVIC CENTER AND
CHAMBER OF COMMERCE OF LAMAR COUNTY BUDGET FOR THE
FISCAL YEAR OCTOBER 1, 2007, TO SEPTEMBER 30, 2008; MAKING
OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Love Civic Center, Chamber of Commerce of Lamar County, has presented
its budget for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2007, and ending September 30, 2008; and,
WHEREAS, it is appropriate that said budget, attached hereto as Exhibit A, be accepted and
approved;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PARIS, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things
approved.
Section 2. That the proposed budget for the Love Civic Center and Chamber of Commerce
of Lamar County, for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2007, and ending September 30, 2008, be,
and the same is hereby, accepted and approved.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.

1. Civic Center's portion of motel/hotel tax from Visitor & Convention Center,
received quarterly.

4. Fees collected for rental of kitchen and 10% fee collected from caterers.

CIVIC CENTER BUDGET NOTES
EXPENSE:
1. Salaries for all civic center personnel,
2, Fica and Medicare payments to federal government (7.65%).
3, Texas Workforce Commission and Futa taxes (pd. Quarterly).
4. Workers Compensation Insurance
5. Payment of staff medical/dental/life insurance and retirement benefits.
6, Payment to the Lamar County Chamber of Commerce for bookkeeping and
clerical support.
7. Maintenance Staff Contract. Labor
8. Gas, electric and building water bills
9, Phone bill, long distance phone service, and postage expenses.
10. General Office Supplies
i 1. Items needed to clean the inside of Civic Center building.
12. Items purchase to maintain the inside of the building, includes trash collection,
often times includes real property improvements such as floor tile,
13. Building Insurance with Pierson and Fendley Insurance and City of Paris.
14. Items purchased to maintain civic center's grounds and Professional lawn care services.

16. Purchase of any equipment needed such as lawn mower, moping machine, etc.
17. Marketing -funds allocated to market Civic Center to help increase rental usage.
18. Membership dues for the East Texas Civic Center Association and Cox Cable.
