A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
TEXAS, CALLING A SPECIAL MEETING FOR SEPTEMBER 17, 2007 AT
WHICH THE CITY COUNCIL WILL VOTE ON THE TAX RATE FOR
FISCAL YEAR 2007.2008; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS
RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

DRAFT
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 26.05(d) of the Property Tax Code of the State of
Texas, on September 5, 2007, a public hearing was held for the purpose of hearing the views of
proponents and opponents of the proposed tax rate required to fund and balance the proposed budget
for fiscal year 2007-2008; and,
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 26.06(d) of the Tax Code, the governing body of
the taxing unit shall announce the date, time, and place for the meeting at which they will vote on
the tax rate; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriate time for the meeting at which the City Council will vote on the
tax rate is found to be on the 17th day of September, 2007, at 6:00 p.m., City Council Chamber, 107
E. Kaufman, Paris, Texas.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PARIS, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things
approved.
Section 2. That a special meeting is hereby called for September 17,2007, at 6:00 p.m., City
Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufman, Paris, Texas, to vote on the tax rate.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
