AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 2-98 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF
THE CITY OF PARIS; PROVIDING FORAN INCREASE IN EMERGENCY
AND NON-EMERGENCY AMBULANCE SERVICE RATES; REPEALING
ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS:
Section 1. That Section 2-98 of the Code of Ordinances ofthe City of Paris be, and the same
is hereby, amended so that such shall read as follows:
"Sec. 2-98. Ambulance Service Rates.
"(a) The following rates are established for emergency medical vehicle service for
residents and non-residents of Lamar County:
"1. MOBILE INTENSIVE $400.00 plus $10.00 per mile
CARE UNIT (MICU) from point of pickup within
Lamar County to point of
delivery
"2. ADVANCED LIFE $350.00 plus $10.00 per mile
SUPPORT (ALS) from point of pickup within
Lamar County to point of
delivery
"l OUT OF LAMAR $400.00 plus $10.00 per mile
COUNTY TRANSFER from point of pickup to point
SERVICE of delivery less than 125-mile
radius
"4. NON-EMERGENCY
TRANSFER SERVICE
$220.00 plus $10.00 per mile
from point of pickup within
Lamar County to point of
delivery
"5. RETURN TRIP
$215.00 plus $10.00 per mile
from point of pickup to point
of delivery
"6. PERSONAL
PREFERENCE
TRANSFER SERVICE
$550.00 plus $10.00 per mile
from point of pickup to point
of delivery; and to point of
return outside Paris City
Limits to point of origin inside
Paris City Limits beyond a
125-mile radius
"7. STANDBY
$325.00 for the first hour and
$60.00 for each additional
hour on an as-available, first-
request, first-served basis
"(b) In addition to the established rates, a usual, reasonable, and customary charge
for medical supplies and service used or required in connection with
emergency and non-emergency transfer service shall be made."
Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
expressly repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall become effective on October 1,2007.
