RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
TEXAS, CONFIRMING THE REAPPOINTMENT OF ZENETT A
FULBRIGHT AS A MEMBER OF THE FIRE FIGHTERS' AND POLICE
OFFICERS' CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PARIS;
MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE
SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the term of office of Zenetta Fulbright, as a member of the Fire Fighters' and
Police Officers' Civil Service Commission of the City of Paris, will expire on December 31,2007;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Paris, in accordance with the authority granted
in Section 143 .006(b) of the Local Government Code, has reappointed Zenetta Fulbright for a term
ofthree (3) years, beginning January 1,2008, and ending December 31,2010, and has submitted the
name of such person to the City Council for confirmation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PARIS, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things
approved.
Section 2. That the reappointment of Zeneta Fulbright, as a member of the Fire Fighters' and
Police Officers' Civil Service Commission of the City of Paris, for a term of three (3) years,
beginning January 1, 2008, and ending December 31, 2010, be, and the same is hereby, confirmed.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.

DEP ARTMENT HEADS; MUST BE AN INTERESTED, CAP ABLE CITIZEN; SERVES
UNTIL SUCCESSOR IS APPOINTED; MAYOR RECOMMENDS, COUNCIL APPOINTS.
The duties of the City Coordinator are those included in paragraph VA.3. of the Emergency
Operations Plan adopted January 1982.

FIREFIGHTERS' & POLICE OFFICERS CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION -
Good moral character; resident of the City of Paris for more than three years; over 25
years of age; not have held any public office within the preceding three years; three
year staggered terms; appointed by City Manager and confirmed by City Council
before appointment becomes effective.
Adopts rules, investigates matters related to enforcement of Civil Service regulations,
and hears appeals from disciplinary actions.
Director has same qualifications except he does not have to meet residency
requirements.
