RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
TEXAS, APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE PLANNING AND ZONING
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PARIS TO SERVE THE UNEXPIRED
TERM OF BOBBY L. MYERS, WHICH ENDS DECEMBER 31, 2009;
MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE
SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

WHEREAS, there exists a vacancy on the membership of the Planning and Zoning
Commission due to the resignation of Bobby 1. Myers, and it is necessary to appoint his successor;
and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris does hereby recommend the appointment of Bill
Harris to serve the unexpired term of Bobby L. Myers, which ends December 31, 2009.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PARIS, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things
approved.
Section 2. That Bill Harris be, and he is hereby, appointed to serve the unexpired term of
Bobby L. Myers, which ends December 31, 2009, as a member of the Planning and Zoning
Commission of the City of Paris.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.

city limits of Paris and makes recommendations to City Council for the approval or
disapproval of those requests.
