DRAFT fattomey\reswork\current\ January 8, 2008 RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, AND THE COMMISSIONERS COURT OF LAMAR COUNTY, TEXAS, APPOINTING DR. MARY GAIL MIESCH AS A MEMBER OF THE PARIS-LAMAR COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the term of office of Mr. Ted Gibson, as a members ofthe Paris-Lamar County Board of Health, expired on December 31,2007; and, WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris, with the advice ofthe County Judge of Lamar County, Texas, does hereby recommend the appointment of Dr. Mary Gail Miesch, for a term of two (2) years, beginning January 1, 2008, and ending December 31, 2009; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, AND THE COMMISSIONERS COURT OF THE COUNTY OF LAMAR: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That Dr. Mary Gail Miesch be, and she is hereby, appointed, to serve as a member of the Paris-Lamar County Board of Health for a term of two (2) years, beginning January 1,2008, and ending December 31, 2009.
